“So where did we connect”

Sharon,

As I sit here writing this, tears twinkling from my eyes, I ask myself “So where did we connect?” As a single mother in my early twenties, looking for an apartment for my son and I was the first encounter I had with you, a beautiful human being. Sharon you opened your home and heart to me immediately. You always told me how proud you were of me and that you admired my commitment to my son as a single parent.

As the bond grew greater and our hearts connected, we would sit and talk countless hours. One day, a conversation we had, led to the big connect. Sharon, your heart went out to me as I had no mother, as my mother passed when I was only 16. Unbeknown to me, you opened up that you had lost a daughter that would have been the exact age as me. This is when I think the “BIG Connect” was made. After this conversation I became your “daughter” and you became my “mother”. Although we had no biological connection, our hearts and souls connected, there is nothing I would not have done for you. I do believe that the Lord connected us for a reason. You were my confidant, you were there for me when I was in pain and in my happy times too, for this I will be forever grateful. I have so many fond memories that I will cherish forever until our unwavering connect meets again.

I loved you from when we first met.
I loved you during your time on this earth.
I will always love you.

Until we meet again.

Your adopted daughter, Venetia.
